Alec Abrams is a Director within the Structured Finance group at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Alec is responsible for underwriting, pricing, and structuring commercial real estate loans, as well as overseeing securitization initiatives for the firm. He is also responsible for assisting in the asset management of LoanCore’s investments, ensuring the firm’s lending strategies align with market opportunities and risk management objectives.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2017, Alec worked in the CMBS New Issuance Group at Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc.

Alec holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with dual minors in Business Administration and English from the University of Southern California.

Jean Baker is a Managing Director and the Head of Western Region Banking at LoanCore Capital. In her role, Jean oversees origination and relationship management across the Western U.S. She is also responsible for driving LoanCore’s regional lending strategy, managing banking operations, and fostering partnerships with borrowers and market participants. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2013, Jean served as a Principal at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, where she managed West Coast capital markets lending. Previously, she held leadership roles at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation and Morgan Stanley. Jean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley.

Newland Baldwin is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Structured Finance at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Newland is responsible for LoanCore’s financing strategies, overseeing risk management and execution in both the securitization and warehouse capital markets.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2024, Newland worked in Morgan Stanley’s Commercial Real Estate Lending Group, where he structured and sold over $100 billion of CRE CLO, Conduit, SASB, and Agency CMBS. His responsibilities included pricing, hedging, and marketing new issue transactions.

Newland holds a Bachelor of Economics from Yale University and a Master of Mathematical Finance from New York University.

Travis Bloodgood is a Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Travis originates and underwrites new commercial real estate debt opportunities. He is also responsible for credit analysis, deal structuring, and execution of LoanCore’s lending strategies. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2019, Travis worked at Proprium Capital Partners on the Finance and Capital Markets team and at the Royal Bank of Scotland in both Market Risk and Credit Risk. Travis holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Jacqueline Brush is a Fund Controller at LoanCore Capital. In her role, Jacqueline manages accounting operations and financial reporting for LoanCore’s investment funds. She is also responsible for maintaining accurate fund performance reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity across the firm’s vehicles.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2014, Jacqueline served as a Senior Fund Accountant at Eton Park Capital Management and previously worked at Rothstein Kass & Company.

Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marist College and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Adrian (A.J.) Castro is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, A.J. is responsible for originating, underwriting, and closing fixed and floating-rate commercial real estate loans, as well as managing portfolio assets. He is also responsible for leading lending activities throughout the Western region, focusing on creative loan structures and portfolio optimization. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2017, A.J. was an Assistant Vice President at Torchlight Investors, underwriting high-yield commercial real estate debt and equity investments. He also worked at LNR Partners in the Special Servicing division. A.J. holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University with a concentration in real estate finance and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.

Bryan Collins is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Bryan is responsible for sourcing and originating commercial real estate loans throughout the Southeast region. He is also responsible for leading loan origination efforts across a variety of property types, focusing on structuring creative financing solutions and expanding LoanCore’s lending presence in key regional markets. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2011, Bryan managed a portfolio of non-performing debt, equity investments, and REO assets at TriMont Real Estate Advisors. Earlier in his career, he was part of a four-person team at RBS Greenwich Capital that originated over $1 billion in commercial and multifamily loans. Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.

Gregory Corbett is a Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Gregory originates and underwrites new commercial real estate debt opportunities while also managing existing investments. He is also responsible for borrower relationships, deal execution, and asset performance across LoanCore’s Western portfolio. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2018, Gregory worked at Deutsche Bank underwriting CMBS investments. Gregory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Adam Francks is a Managing Director and the Co-Head of Structured Finance at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Adam oversees the underwriting, sizing, pricing, and structuring of commercial real estate loans across the firm’s portfolio. He is also responsible for managing the firm’s structured finance initiatives, leading loan securitization efforts, and ensuring disciplined execution in line with LoanCore’s risk and return parameters.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2011, Adam worked in the Commercial Real Estate Debt Placement Group at Eastdil Secured and previously held positions in the Real Estate Finance Group at RBS Greenwich Capital.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Real Estate and Management.

Steve Graines is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Steve focuses on originating, structuring, and executing commercial real estate financing opportunities. He is also responsible for client relationships and market development throughout the Western region. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2011, Steve worked in RBS Greenwich Capital’s commercial real estate finance group from 2004 to 2008 and at OG Partners from 2009 to 2011. Earlier in his career, he was a county prosecutor in Cleveland, Ohio. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University.

Chad Jones is the Head of Eastern Region Investments at DivCore Capital and its affiliated companies, DivcoWest and LoanCore. In his role, Chad directs both debt originations for LoanCore Capital and investments for DivcoWest throughout the Eastern Region. He is also responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing new investment opportunities across the firm’s vertically integrated real estate platform. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2011, Chad worked in the real estate investment banking group at Savills, where he focused on debt and equity placement. Prior to that, he worked in the leveraged finance group at Capmark Investments, originating and structuring commercial real estate debt. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University.

Steve Kay is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Steve focuses on originating and structuring commercial real estate loans across diverse property sectors. He is also responsible for developing borrower relationships, executing loan transactions, and advancing LoanCore’s national lending initiatives. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2013, Steve held senior roles with Cantor Fitzgerald, RBS Greenwich Capital, and Nomura Securities. He began his career at JMB Realty in 1991. John P. (JP) Kost is a Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, JP is responsible for originating, underwriting, and closing commercial real estate loans. Kimberly Lutterman is a Managing Director and the Head of Asset Management at LoanCore Capital. In her role, Kimberly is responsible for portfolio performance, asset-level strategy, and asset-management oversight across LoanCore’s debt investments.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2014, Kimberly spent 13 years at RBS / Greenwich Capital as a Senior Vice President in Commercial Real Estate Finance, working on origination, underwriting, and management and disposition of loans and REO assets.

Kimberly holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.

Calvin Masterson is a Vice President at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Calvin supports the origination of first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and other commercial real estate-related debt products. He is also responsible for assisting with transaction execution, loan management, and portfolio oversight across multiple property sectors.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2022, Calvin spent nearly a decade with NXT Capital, where he managed a large portfolio of first mortgage loans.

Calvin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College.

Jason Mergen is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Jason is responsible for the sourcing, structuring, and origination of senior and subordinate commercial real estate loans across all property types and markets. He is also responsible for managing asset oversight and balance sheet investments, ensuring consistent performance across the firm’s lending portfolio. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2013, Jason worked in the commercial real estate lending group at Wells Fargo, where he focused on origination, underwriting, and portfolio management across the U.S. and Canada. Jason holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with dual majors in Finance, Investment & Banking, and Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin Madison.

Arta Narkaj is the Chief Accounting Officer at LoanCore Capital. In her role, Arta oversees the firm’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. She is also responsible for leading the accounting team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and implementing best practices across the organization’s reporting framework.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2013, Arta worked at Deloitte Tax LLP where she managed multiple tax engagements for corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth clients. Earlier in her career, she held positions at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and served on the board of trustees of The Wainwright House, where she was treasurer for two years.

Arta holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Luigj Gurakuqi University in Albania and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and a member of the AICPA and NYCPA.

Michael Ponzio is a Vice President on the Asset Management team at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Michael manages quarterly asset reporting, ongoing loan administration, and general portfolio oversight. He is also responsible for monitoring performance of LoanCore’s existing debt investments and supporting strategic asset-management initiatives.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2018, Michael worked as a Senior Accountant at KKR Real Estate Investment Trust.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management from Limestone College and a Master of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University.

Taylor Sekelsky is a Vice President on the Structured Finance team at LoanCore Capital. In her role, Taylor oversees and manages LoanCore’s warehouse lending facilities and balance sheet financing solutions. She is also responsible for underwriting, sizing, pricing, and securitizing commercial real estate loans, as well as coordinating with capital-markets partners.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2019, Taylor worked in the Product Management Group at Waterfall Asset Management.

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and dual minors in Economics and Labor Studies and Employment Relations from The Pennsylvania State University.

Richard Small is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Richard is primarily responsible for dispositions, modifications, and complex restructurings of LoanCore investments. He is a senior investment management professional with extensive experience leading loan originations and restructurings across all asset classes and multiple economic cycles. Richard’s current focus is on developing tailored and creative solutions for borrowers while balancing LoanCore’s investment objectives.

Prior to joining LoanCore in 2008, Richard wass an Associate in the Real Estate Finance Group at RBS Greenwich Capital.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Marc Sternberg is the Chief Compliance Officer of DivCore Capital and its affiliated companies, DivcoWest and LoanCore. In his role, Marc directs the firm’s compliance, regulatory, and governance programs and is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, developing compliance policies, and overseeing internal controls across the enterprise.

Prior to joining DivCore in 2019, Marc served as Manager of Compliance at Truvvo Partners and previously worked in Blackstone’s Legal & Compliance group supporting its real estate and private equity businesses.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and both a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Fordham University.

Jay Um is a Managing Director at LoanCore Capital. In his role, Jay is responsible for sourcing, originating, and structuring new commercial real estate financing opportunities. He also leads LoanCore’s Southern California banking platform and drives loan production initiatives. Prior to joining LoanCore in 2015, Jay worked in real estate finance and restructuring groups at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
